[00:00:00] Hello everyone, it's your popular Power and Energy Group Professor Vali Padiachi here again. I'm excited to share my impressions of the ENLIT Africa 2025 conference that took place in Cape Town last week from 20 May to 22 May. This year's event brought together visionary leaders, hands on expertise and the right people to tackle the future of power and water. [00:00:27] The conference featured a diverse range of speakers and sessions highlighting critical issues such as decarbonisation, grid modernization and energy access. [00:00:37] Attendees experienced stellar keynotes that challenged old models and explored new opportunities alongside expert led masterclass sessions packed with practical insights that they could apply immediately. [00:00:52] There were no vague discussions, just real strategies, deep dives into power and water projects and solutions that worked. Networking was robust with stakeholders from across the globe, fostering collaboration and potential partnerships. [00:01:09] Major global industry plays were prominent and their presence and participation contributed immensely to the conference's value add. [00:01:18] Overall, Enlit 2025 was not just an event, but a crucial milestone in shaping a sustainable energy future for Africa. It provided an invaluable forum for dialogue and I believe its impacts will resonate long beyond the conference days. Thank you for your time and I welcome the further opportunity and look forward to discussing this further.
